LOS MASTER PLUS
RSVP & Invite your friends on Facebook:
With suave Latin-lover antics, contagiously catchy covers, and original amalgamations of cumbiatrónica with norteña, Los Master Plus is an irresistible force to be reckoned with. They have become increasingly popular in the Latin alternative music scene and the two are considered the new kings of cumbiatrónica. Just about two years since their Internet music video debut, “Sexo en Fuego,” the Guadalajara-based duo instantly became a YouTube viral sensation, gaining over a million plus views, and all before the release of their upcoming full-length freshman album in 2014. With their newly found Internet fame, and winning over fans via their live shows, El Comanche and Larry Mon soon began paving new ways for remaking famous pop songs into unique modern norteña hits, consequently reaching international attention. They’ve become one of the most promising young contemporary banda groups of today.
Mexico City’s producer-by way of Washington DC-G G-Flux-explores his love for what he calls “space cumbia” on this 7” for Electric Cowbell Records. Side A features the vocal stylings of Los Master Plus.
Hailing from the D.C. area, five man collective the Empresarios are adept at mixing diverse cultures and sounds together. There is no shortage of creativity among these talented musicians and DJs and their influences, from downtempo, dub, Latin, house, trip-hop and reggaeton can all be heard in their definitive, eclectic sound.
